What cookies are
Cookies are small files websites can store on your device. Similar technologies can store or retrieve information for security, preferences, analytics and advertising.
Necessary and first-party analytics
The website may use strictly necessary technical storage when required to provide a feature securely—for example shopping basket, student price entitlement, payment session state, or security controls. First-party analytics always uses an opaque browser identifier and a short-lived session identifier so staff can count visits and useful Apollo journeys without identifying a person or linking devices. No names, contact details, payment data or full IP addresses are stored in that analytics signal. You can clear this storage through your browser; blocking essential storage may stop features working.
Optional advertising cookies — Meta Pixel
If you accept marketing/advertising cookies, we load the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure advertising effectiveness and understand visits that follow Meta ads. The Pixel ID used on this site is configured via NEXT_PUBLIC_META_PIXEL_ID; after consent it initialises and records PageView events. Until you accept, we do not load fbevents.js, do not call fbq, and do not place a Meta noscript pixel image.
Rejecting marketing cookies (or choosing “Reject” / necessary-only) keeps Meta Pixel off. You can reopen any time, including from the small “Cookie settings” control on every page after your first choice. Staging environments never load Meta Pixel, even if marketing cookies were previously accepted.
My Music Staff widgets
Our taster forms and student portal login are provided by My Music Staff and embedded in this website. My Music Staff may use strictly necessary technology to secure the form, complete your booking and keep you signed in; its information applies within the embedded widgets.
How we store your choice
Your Accept / Reject choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage under the key apollo-cookie-consent-v1 as JSON shaped like { "marketing": true|false, "updatedAt": "ISO-8601 timestamp" }. Clearing site data resets the banner so you can choose again.
